Nassau Coliseum is back. And completely renovated, which has us and the rest of Long Island pretty excited. A straight shot from Allegria Hotel, Nassau Coliseum has long been a pillar of the Long Island community. However, it was due for some upgrades. That’s all changed now. The renovation comes with a ultra-modern, sleek facade, and well as tons of improvements to the building’s amenities. There’s a beer garden out front, state-of-the-art sound system and acoustics, VIP areas, and thematic artist quarters which are expected to lure top artists just like in the coliseum’s glory days.
It seems to be working, too. Nassau Coliseum hasn’t wasted any time in putting on some of the best shows on Long Island. The sporting complex showed off its new look for the first time with Long Island native Billy Joel giving the first performance in the renovated building earlier this April, and artists such as Barbra Streisand, The Weeknd, Metallica, J. Cole and Roger Waters are booked for dates this spring and summer. There are also some high-profile events on the schedule, including the new Cirque du Soleil show Ovo, as well as the final tour of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus.
That said, consult the upcoming event schedule at Nassau Coliseum here. And if any events catch your eye, consider making the short trip to Long Beach. The Allegria Hotel is less than 30 minutes from Nassau Coliseum, and we’re located on the iconic Long Beach boardwalk.
Instead of sitting in traffic to get to Barclays or Madison Square Garden, you can spend that time relaxing on the beach.
