The Best Slice in Long Beach

If you’ve had your fill of seafood and looking for the perfect slice of pie, here’s a look at the best pizza joints around Long Beach (in no particular order).

East End Cafe

647 E Park Ave., Long Beach
The pizza at East End Cafe has a nice selection of specialty slices as well as classics, and the sesame crust is the perfect finale. Try the buffalo chicken specialty slice or go for a Sicilian and your favorite toppings. Simple restaurant, reasonable prices. Open until midnight during the weekends. See menu.

Gino’s Long Beach

16 W. Park Ave., Long Beach
The sauce at Gino’s is a tad sweeter than the rest and ingredients are always fresh. Select an oversized slice and enjoy – the Grandma slice beats all, with thin crust best topped garlic, plum tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil. See menu.

West End Pizza & Restaurant

918 W. Beech St., Long Beach
If you like pasta but you’re craving pizza, the Penne Pizza is the best of both worlds. Topped with homemade vodka sauce, a slice of penne pasta is absolutely divine. See menu.

Sorrento’s Italian Specialties

255 W. Park Ave., Long Beach
This Italian grocer, deli and butcher offers wood-fired pizza with a crispy crust and quality ingredients. You can also pick up a box of Italian cookies on your way out. Sorrento’s closes at 7pm, so make sure to plan accordingly.
