Run, Eat and Shop in Long Beach this Fourth of July

The day to celebrate everything about the United States is upon us. When planning a Fourth of July getaway, nothing beats pristine beaches, luxury rooms and events suited for all ages. The Allegria Hotel is offering a special Fourth of July package for guests staying two or more nights between June 28th and July 5th—breakfast for two included each night of your stay.

And now, what to do in Long Beach this Independence Day?

Fabulous 4th 4K Race in Memory of Sean Ryan and 1K Children’s Fun Run

July 4, 8am start for 1K and 8:30am for 4K
Long Beach residents like to keep fit, and why wouldn’t they? They have a gorgeous boardwalk, beach and ocean views every day. So, when it comes to organizing sports and fitness events, any excuse works. This year’s fast and flat 4K route will be the perfect opportunity to beat your personal record.

Fireworks Extravaganza

July 6 at 3pm
No Fourth of July is complete without a heart-stopping firework show—and nothing beats fireworks on the beach! Plus, Long Beach will be hosting a food festival on the boardwalk and a beach concert to entertain visitors and locals alike. Make sure to bring your beach chair or blanket. The fireworks begin at 8pm.

Arts & Crafts Festival

July 7-8 from 10am to 6pm
Independence Day festivities will culminate with the annual Arts & Crafts Festival on Long Beach’s boardwalk between Long Beach Boulevard and Edwards Boulevard. What better way to celebrate than shopping for handcrafted and original items? If you haven’t found the right ornament for that coffee table or the perfect painting to hang on your living room wall, this is where you might just find it.

Finish the night with a gourmet dinner at Atlantica Restaurant (advance reservations required) or a few drinks at L’Onda Lounge. The vibrant, beach atmosphere is always present, especially when you eat and drink with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop.
