Celebrate 50 Years of the US Open

The 2018 US Open is finally here. Tennis fans are flying to New York from all corners of the world to experience the prowess of top tennis players in the most electric atmosphere out there. And this year is set out to be one of the best, as it’s the tournament's 50th anniversary! The good news is that you can enjoy all the US Open has to offer and still sneak in your last summer holiday of the season. Here’s how.

Nearby Accommodations

Almost a million people visit the Billie Jean King USTA National Tennis Center every year, hoping to see their favorite player raise the trophy to a standing ovation. And that many people are looking for nearby accommodations… Have you considered booking a room at the Allegria Hotel? We’re located less than an hour’s drive from the Tennis Center. Cheer on your players by day and relax by the beach at night. Sounds good, right?

Now that accommodations are taken care of, it’s time to find out what this year’s last Grand Slam has in store for you. Fan Week is in full swing and so are the qualifying tournaments. Make sure to keep an eye on the real-time scores on the official website.

Ticket Options

If you’ve decided which matches to attend, you need to hunt for your tickets. Hardcore fans may choose to purchase Ticket Plans, which cover the full series, opening sessions, evening sessions, holiday weekend sessions, championship week, etc. If you don’t have that much time to spare, get an Evening or Day Session ticket with reserved seating in the stadiums. Otherwise, go for a Grounds Admission Ticket and spend the day in field courts, practice courts and select stadiums.

Food Options

By now you’re probably starving. The US Open caters to all tastes and budgets. For a food-court meal, go to the US Open Food Village, Grandstand Food Village or South Plaza. If you prefer a sit-down meal, treat yourself to dinner at the many restaurants in the US Open.

Once you’ve had your fill of match points, drive back to Long Beach, NY, but don’t forget to check out all the memorabilia and tributes to former players that form part if this year’s unique celebration.

Have a stylish US Open experience by booking an ocean view suite at the Allegria Hotel, your home away from home.
