Summer isn’t the only time to visit Long Beach! Springtime is just around the corner and Long Island, NY comes to life with tulip and music festivals, farmers’ markets, and more. Beat the summer crowds and see what’s happening this spring in Long Beach.

9th Annual Folk-2-Funk Music Festival

March 29-31
Back for its ninth year, the Annual Folk-2-Funk Music Festival brings together local folk and funk bands to collect food for the local soup kitchen. Hosted by the public library and the non-profit Artists in Partnership organization, the weekend music affair is free. Bring non-perishable food items for a good cause!

Easter Egg Hunt

April 13 at 10am
Bring the kids and Easter baskets to take part in the Long Beach Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Kids can hunt for eggs according to age group up to 9 years old. Prizes will be awarded in each age category.

Long Beach Farmers’ Market

Saturdays & Wednesdays at 9am-2pm beginning May 4
Long Island’s most beloved farmers’ market reopens this spring! Get your weekly fix of homemade breads, pickled goods, local produce and snacks from this bi-weekly market held at Kennedy Plaza in front of City Hall.

Huntington Tulip Festival

May 5 at 11am-4pm
Tip-toe through the tulips at this floral festival held in nearby Huntington! Showcasing over 20,000 flowers, the annual event is family friendly, with activity booths for children, demonstrations, refreshments, and more. This is a very spring-like way to celebrate the season.

Memorial Day Parade

May 27 at 10am
Pay tribute to our veterans by attending the annual downtown Memorial Day parade. The parade begins at Ohio Avenue and West Beech Street and ends at the stands on Park Avenue in front of City Hall. The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will march in the parade, alongside city, county and state officials.

Arts on the Boardwalk

June 1-2 at 10am-5pm
The city will host a Fine Art & Craft Show just steps from Allegria Hotel on the Boardwalk at Riverside Boulevard. The show will be a combination of fine arts and crafts on display on the sunny boardwalk. Come out in the final days of spring to see the works of local artists and crafters!
